How did this affect the economy not only in the Philippines but also in the worlds economy?
In my own observation some students fail to attend their class just to be updated in the game series. And if they are in class their attention is not fully in their subject but instead in the game. In my observation the demand for a mobile phone that could access a television has increased, since people have their own business like students attending their class, in order not to skip classes they watched the game using their mobile phone that could access a television on the other hand workers in the companies pause their work just to watched the game that's why their productivity decreases. Also the demand on PUJ (Public Utility Jeepney) decreases because many people chose to stay at home just to watched the game. And for some passengers like me I have observe that the number of jeepney on the road had lessen. Since Lebron James was 2013's MVP the demand for Lebron's jersey had increase same goes with other products that they endorse such as shoes and other products. Not only the demand for Lebron's endorsed products had increased but also the demand for the products that his co team mates had increased.

This type of economic issue needs a critical mind to analyze that this ordinary event may cause also an economic impact but many of us don't realize.
Therefore, in every event happened in the world may cause an economic impact maybe a good one or a bad one this type of economic issue is a good one and a sort of bad one. Because many people gamble to that game but also many people gamble in non licensed establishments therefore no tax will go to the government. An ordinary game but have an economic impact just like the NBA championship.
